Elizabethton, TN Police Department (24 sworn officers) has seen multiple suspect identification successes through the utilization of the tip411 tool and increasing community engagement.
With the help of the tip411 Alert System, Elizabethton PD was able to send out a number of alerts to their community members and ask for assistance in identifying multiple individuals who were accused of shoplifting from different stores.
The agency received numerous anonymous tips from citizens via tip411 and within a few days, all suspects were identified leading to further investigation.
The Elizabethton Police Department mobile app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Citizens can also submit an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting the keyword “TIPEPD” and their message/tip to 847411.
