Business Development Representative (BDR)

Citizen Observer (tip411), headquartered in downtown St Paul, MN, with customers in 50 states, offers web-based community engagement solutions and mobile apps for Public Safety, K-12 Schools, Colleges and Universities, Domestic Abuse Advocacy Organizations, Community Coalitions, Human Trafficking Prevention Organizations and more. Citizen Observer’s SaaS products are designed to engage citizens in the process of creating safer communities by allowing real time connection to customer entities through custom branded mobile apps, 2-way anonymous text messaging, community alerts and social media.

We are searching for a candidate with an energetic and innovative spirit who is dedicated to making an impact on how citizens can communicate safely with those organizations that they need to reach out to.

As a BDR, you will be contacting prospects across the country that are receptive to the value that Citizen Observer’s products offer.

Responsibilities

  • Identify qualified prospects through cold calling, individual email marketing campaigns, inbound lead follow up and other activities.
  • Schedule web-based demonstrations with decision makers and qualified prospects.
  • Use SalesForce to manage sales opportunities and track activities through sales cycle.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and staff.
  • Plan and execute work that is accurate, complete, timely and reliable.
  • Communicate openly and accept feedback from peers and the executive team.
  • Understand the marketplace, technology, and trends to leverage and adapt to best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience preferred
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation

Compensation includes base salary of $50,000 annually plus incentives. Reasonably expected first year income of $60,000 plus. Cell phone allowance, parking, health insurance, 401k, casual work environment.
