Cape Girardeau, MO Police Department (77 sworn officers) has partnered with the tip411 tool to improve community engagement, enhance public safety, and close cases.
Residence and business owners can receive alerts, notifications, and send anonymous tips directly to a live police officer through the tool.
These alerts and notifications can be about crimes, wanted suspects, road closures, critical incidents and many more.
The implementation of the tip411 tool has demonstrated its efficacy in facilitating the collection of critical information, including photographic and video evidence, from anonymous community members, thereby enhancing law enforcement’s ability to investigate and resolve criminal activity.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department mobile app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Citizens can also submit an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting the keyword “CAPEPD” and their message/tip to 847411.
