Lumberton Police Department Unveils New Anonymous Tip Tool, Powered by tip411

The Lumberton Police Department (77 sworn officers) has recently launched the Lumberton PD mobile app, a powerful new crime-fighting tool developed by tip411 that is now available for the community to use.

The Lumberton PD mobile app makes it easy to get citizens involved in the safety of their community by providing multiple ways to connect with the police department.

The Lumberton PD mobile app allows individuals to share tips with the department, creating an anonymous two-way conversation by removing all identifying information before the tip is received by the police department.

“Our goal is to provide the highest quality of law enforcement service through a departmental philosophy of community-oriented problem-solving policing,” Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill says. “By working together, we can partner with our community to make Lumberton a safer place for all, and I believe our new tip411 system will play an important part in that effort.”

The tip411 application can also further involve the community residents by providing information, and the ability to view alerts.

“We’re continuously working to build more advanced and innovative products to help departments better engage their communities,” tip411 President Terry Halsch said. “The Lumberton PD app, powered by tip411, will greatly improve the public’s access to agency alerts, social media channels, important information, and more to help fight crime.”

The Lumberton Police Department mobile app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Citizens can also submit an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting the keyword “LUMBERTONPD” and their message/tip to 847411.
