Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office (43 sworn officers) recently rolled out the newest tool in their “crime-fighting arsenal”; tip411.
Residents as well as other community members, will be able to anonymously submit tips directly to law enforcement.
“Our mission, through a partnership with the citizens of our community, is to provide the highest possible degree of protection for the County residents, guests and their properties,” Sheriff D.T. “Duck” Adams said in the announcement.
“We’ve been working on this for a few months now, and I am happy to see it finally go live. Our office relies heavily on tips from the public, and this is another way for citizens to help us fight crime in Dinwiddie County.”
More than 1,400 law enforcement, schools, and other government agencies decrease crime and increase community engagement by teaming up with tip411.
The public can submit anonymous tips to the Dinwiddie Sheriff’s Department by texting “DCSOTIP” and the tip information to 847411. The public can also use the DCSOTIP Tip mobile app, powered by tip411, to view community alerts and submit anonymous tips. The DCSOTIP Tip app can be downloaded for free at the iTunes and Google Play App Store.
