Hermiston Police Department Launches Anonymous Tip Mobile App, Developed by tip411

Hermiston polce department marketingThe Hermiston Police Department (28 sworn officers) is increasing its crime-fighting arsenal with a new app to help residents connect with the department to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone.

This new tool puts the power back into the community by providing a safe, 100% anonymous way to provide tips to a police officer and open a two-way communication system where photos and videos can be used. 

“In partnership with our diverse community, our mission is to create and maintain a safe environment with the reduction of crime through problem-oriented and community-based policing strategies,” said Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston. “We believe our new Hermiston PD app from tip411 will help us do just that by working together with our residents to maintain a high quality of life for those who live and visit our community.”

The Hermiston Police Department mobile app is available to download for free from the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Citizens can also submit an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting the keyword “HPDTIP” and their message/tip to 847411.

The San Juan County, WA Sheriff’s Office (18 sworn officers) launched a brand new platform that was designed and maintained by tip411 to connect the public, community, and law enforcement. This exciting new tool will provide an avenue for both the community and deputies to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphones.

Anonymous tip leads Rockford Police to arrest homicide suspect

After receiving an anonymous tip via their tip411 anonymous tip tool, Rockford Police (278 sworn officers) arrested another suspect in connection with the October 2022 death of a woman.

In March, the Rockford Police Department received an anonymous tip via tip411, and after further investigation, they were able to identify an additional suspect. A warrant for arrest was obtained on April 13, 2023, for Drug- Induced Homicide, Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, and Conspiracy to Deliver Fentanyl in woman’s overdose death.

Tips in Atlantic City Leads to Arrest of Shooting Suspect

A recent anonymous tip submitted to the Atlantic City Police Department (277 sworn officers) from their tip411 tool resulted in the arrest of a man wanted for his involvement in a shooting. 

The police department received a text through the tip411 anonymous reporting system indicating that Ayman Shiham had entered a residence and patrol officers were dispatched and immediately set up a perimeter around the building. Officers made contact with Shiham who subsequently surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

The arrest stems from a March shooting, where patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and located a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Evidence of gunfire was also located at the scene.
