Delhi Township Police Department Makes Arrests Due to Anonymous Tip

A tip was submitted to the Delhi Township, OH Police Department (28 sworn officers) via the DTPD Tip anonymous tip application, powered by tip411, regarding a past smoke shop break-in in Cincinnati.

This tip provided information on 3 individual juvenile suspects that were found at an identified location due to the tipster.

Contact was made by both Delhi Township and Cincinnati PD, and upon further investigation, the three juveniles were detained and arrested.

Further additional arrests are expected to be made as the investigation continues.

Threat to Jenks Middle School Results in Arrest of Student Through a tip411 Anonymous Tip

 

Thanks to an anonymous tipster using the tip411 tool, Jenks Middle School was notified that a possible bomb threat was made. 

The anonymous tip indicated that a student of the middle school threatened to bring a bomb to school which prompted an investigation by police.

The student named in the anonymous tip was taken into custody promptly. At this time there is no current threat to the schools or the students. 

tip411 is an anonymous tip tool that connects community members directly with a law enforcement agency or school. It is free and available for download on any smartphone.

District spokesperson Rob Loeber credits the Trojan Tip Line app, powered by tip411.

“People are on their phones constantly and so we make it very easy for people to leave that tip,” Loeber said. “And I think it’s empowered a lot of people because it is completely anonymous and they feel comfortable sharing information that way.”

Recently, Stamford Police Department (300 sworn officers) asked the community to help provide any information on the suspicious death of a 20-year-old man through their anonymous tip tool run by tip411.

Based on information gathered from an investigation, Stamford PD has arrested a 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old man on assault in the first-degree charges. 

Stamford PD is waiting on the office of the chief medical examiner to determine the cause of death with the expectation that additional charges will be filed.

Authorities are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man who was found in a Stamford pathway and are asking for the public’s help through tip411. 

Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police (300 sworn officers) said they received a report of a man lying on his back in the area. After finding the body, they were able to identify the individual and are notifying next of kin.

“At this time, the Department considers this death as suspicious and is awaiting further findings by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner,” Scanlon said.
