Erie County, NY Sheriff’s Office (173 sworn deputies) recently published a tip411 public safety alert regarding an arrest of an alleged drug dealer.
Sheriff John C. Garcia reported the arrest of the suspect after an investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit. Homeland Security Investigations, Town of Tonawanda police, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the ECSO QRF Team assisted.
Deputies and assisting law enforcement partners executed search warrants and a quantity of suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine, suspected psilocybin and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the person and vehicle. A minor was also present in the vehicle. Deputies recovered suspected methamphetamine, suspected psilocybin and drug paraphernalia at his home as well.
Sheriff Garcia commented, “As I have said consistently as your Sheriff, people who sell deadly drugs are fueled by nothing but greed. Arrests and drug seizures like this save lives. Period. The people of Grand Island can take comfort knowing this quantity of fentanyl is in our custody and not on their streets tonight.”
