A recent anonymous tip submitted to the Atlantic City Police Department (277 sworn officers) from their tip411 tool resulted in the arrest of a man wanted for his involvement in a shooting.

The police department received a text through the tip411 anonymous reporting system indicating that Ayman Shiham had entered a residence and patrol officers were dispatched and immediately set up a perimeter around the building. Officers made contact with Shiham who subsequently surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

The arrest stems from a March shooting, where patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and located a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Evidence of gunfire was also located at the scene.
